About Us

Paul O Dionne, President of Colonist Homes Inc. Has a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds a New Hampshire Real Estate license. The corporation is also a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business.

Paul has been a design-build general contractor since 1984. In that time period he has designed and built numerous custom homes from 2,000 to 5,000 sq.ft. He has also remodeled several kitchens and baths, along with designing and building several additions ranging from 500 to 1,500 sq.ft.

Paul has also designed a 48’ x 34’ (1,634 sq.ft.) RV storage barn with loft. As well as a 40’ x 60’ (5,000 sq.ft.) Barn with drive out basement for truck maintenance and equipment storage. The main floor was for office and light manufacturing. The third level was for light storage.

In the commercial arena Paul has design-built fit-ups for a chemical research lab, an advertising photo lab, steel erection/hanger modifications for an aircraft maintenance firm as well as restaurant, office and retail space. He has also designed freestanding buildings with office and warehouse space for a heating and a/c firm and a siding installation firm.

Another area of success has been fire restoration. Paul has restored many homes that have been fire damaged. He provides all the drawings and engineering required by towns to pull demolition and building permits. He provides a detailed contract to the insurance company and he will negotiate tirelessly to get every penny due the client. (the client does not need the services of a public adjustor. As a general contractor, Colonist Homes is doing the exact same thing at no cost.)

Colonist homes will gladly use plans provided by the client, but there is no cost for our engineering or design as long as Colonist Homes builds out the project, be it new construction, remodeling or restoration.

Our projects have been as far north as the Lakes Region, Laconia and Sanborton and south to Nashua, Salem and Windham.
